Liliana (legal assistant extraordinaire), and I, volunteered this morning at the Credit For Life, a financial literacy program at STCC. Several hundred Springfield high school students were trying to maneuver through life as a 25 year old (job, credit score, insurance…). We met some of the future leaders of Springfield. -Ryan
We are proud to once again be sponsoring, and volunteering at, Revitalize CDC’s Green N’ Fit Neighborhood Rebuild on April 29, 2017. Please join us by either donating and/or volunteering. Thanks, Ryan and Rob
Congratulations to the Gray House on a fantastic evening! Laura, Steve, Ryan and I had a great time last night at the Spaghetti Supper and we are happy to support the Gray House. Please consider supporting their important mission. More information can be found at grayhouse.org. – Rob
I had the pleasure of reading a book about Jacques Cousteau to Ms. Clarke’s 4th grade class at the Pottenger School in Springfield yesterday. The kids are so attentive and inquisitive, which really makes this so much fun for me to do. I strongly recommend looking into Link To Libraries, Inc. and volunteering your time to this wonderful program. After reading, each kid gets to select a donated book for themselves. Thank you to Ms. Clarke for allowing us to read to your class. -Ryan
Congratulations to Attorney Laura Mangini for being honored for her “Outstanding Contributions and Achievements”. Last week, Laura was presented with this plaque by Hampden County Bar Association President Attorney Jeff Morneau. Laura was also recently elected to the Bar Association’s Board of Directors. We are proud of Laura’s commitment to our community. – Ryan and Rob
On December 4, 2016, Alekman DiTusa is again sponsoring The Hot Chocolate Run to support Safe Passage. Safe Passage helps families affected by domestic violence. In addition to being sponsors, Attorney Ryan Alekman will be running the 5K. Please consider donating to help support this worthy cause.
Please join us in supporting Rock 102’s Mayflower Marathon at the Basketball Hall of Fame. We are once again sponsoring the school challenge, and will be donating $1,000 to the school that collects the most food for the Open Pantry. In addition, we will be making a donation to The Open Pantry when we meet with Bax and O’Brien, Tuesday November 22 during their 52 hour broadcast marathon.
For many years we have been donating turkeys through the New North Citizens Council to help people celebrate Thanksgiving. Today I met some great people, and heard about how they plan to cook the turkeys. Thank you Jose Claudio for encouraging me to get involved in a meaningful way all those years ago. If you are in a position to help others this holiday season, please do. It truly feels great to make a difference. -Ryan
